File Manager: Overview
The File Manager module allows Administrative users to upload files, upload zipped files, organize files by creating new directories (i.e., folders), navigate directories, download files, and download zipped files.

File Manager: View File Information
1. Click on the File Manager menu.
2. A table displays the following information directory and file information: Filename - the name of the directory or file Size - the size of the directory or file (in KiloBytes) Type - indicates whether this is a directory (Dir) or a file
Modified - the last modified date and time for this directory or file 3. To view the contents of a directory or file, click on the directory or filename. |

File Manager: Navigate Directories
1. Click on the File Manager menu.
2. Note the Current Directory path. 3. To navigate down a directory tree, click on the directory name (under the Filename column). Note the Current Directory path. Repeat this step to continue moving down the directory tree. 4. To navigate up one level in a directory tree, click on Navigate Up. Note the Current Directory path. Repeat this step to continue moving up the directory tree. Note: To move to the top of the directory tree, click on Site Data. |

File Manager: Create a New Directory
1. Click on the File Manager menu.
2. Navigate to the "parent" directory. (The new directory that you create will be one level below this directory). 3. Click on New Directory. 3. Type a name for the new directory then click OK. |

File Manager: Upload Files
1. Click on the File Manager menu.
2. Navigate to the directory (i.e., folder) that you want to upload a file to. This directory should be displayed as the "Current Directory". 3. Click the Browse button. 4. Navigate to and select the file you want to upload. Click Open. 5. Click the Upload button to upload the file to the server. 6. The pop-up message "This process may take awhile. Please be patient and DO NOT REFRESH THE PAGE" displays. To continue, click OK. 7. If the file was successfully uploaded, the filename will appear under the Filename column and the Message will indicate what location the file was uploaded to. |

File Manager: Zip Upload Files
WARNING!! Zip upload will upload your zip file and extract its contents into the current folder overwriting existing files!
Note: A zip file has the .zip file extension and its file type is a compressed (zipped) folder. 1. Click on the File Manager menu. 2. Navigate to the directory where you want to upload the zip file. This directory should now display as the "Current Directory". 3. Click in the File Upload box then click the Browse button. 4. Navigate to and select the zip file you want to upload then click the Open button. 5. Check to make sure the Current Directory is set to the location where you want to upload and unzip the zip file. (WARNING: the contents of this directory will be overwritten when the zip file is uploaded and extracted here). 6. Click the Zip Upload button to upload the file to the server. 7. The pop-up message "This action will upload your file and extract its contents into the current folder overwriting existing files" displays. If you are sure you want to proceed with this action, click OK. If you want to cancel the operation, click Cancel. |

File Manager: Zip Download Files
1. Click on the File Manager menu.
2. Select one or more files that you want to download and compress into a zip file. 3. Click Zip Download. 4. To confirm that you want to zip download the selected file(s), click OK. 5. To save the downloaded zip file, click on the Save button. Navigate to the folder where you want to save the zip file. Optionally, you can type a different filename (the default filename is Zip_Download.zip). Click the Save button. |

File Manager: Rename a File
1. Click on the File Manager menu.
2. Select the file name for the file you want to rename. 3. Click on Rename (to the right of the filename). 4. When the "Rename" pop-up dialog box displays, type the new file name then click OK. 5. To confirm the renaming operation, click OK. To cancel the renaming operation, click Cancel. |

File Manager: Delete Files
CAUTION: Deleted files are not retrievable.
1. Click on the File Manager menu. 2. Navigate to the directory containing the file(s) that you want to delete. 3. Select the file(s) you want to delete. 4. Click on Delete. 5. To confirm the deletion, click OK. To cancel the deletion, click Cancel. |

File Manager: Copy URL
The Copy URL command in File Manager copies the URL (i.e., directory path for a file) to the clipboard. You can then paste the URL into a document. |
